Today, on our new Men’s Fashion Segment, we are going to give out more free advice. If you remember in last weeks segment ( http://blogs.fusionradio.fm/fusion/2011/02/mens-fashion-back-to-basics/ ) We talked about the amazing A.J Buckley, and the super sexy Jensen Ackles, and how they accent an outfit using the right accessories. You can too, and I encouraged you to follow their style to get some good ideas on what you should start to add first. Start with the Basics, then once you get a style going then you can get a little crazy with it.
Lets learn what to sweat about this week! This week I’m going to teach you to sweat SOME of the small stuff… not everything. There is a couple of things that are really important in Fashion and, believe it or not, in the Men’s Fashion dept they are REALLY important. Like shoes, accessories, the right fit on anything really, and how well you put together the ensemble. For example: Your shoe choice… Shoes pull an outfit together. You could be perfectly styled form head to toe, but if you are wearing a bad pair of shoes the whole effort was for nothing. Shoes are personal. They have to fit your style and compliment your outfit. Just let it be known, people will notice your shoes! So remember when you are picking the perfect shoe for yourself it needs to be comfy, fit your style, and try to pic a color that will match everything in your closet. I always suggest to have at least one good pair of black shoes, and nice pair of brown shoes, a kick-en pair of boots, and a comfy pair of sneakers. See Shoe Fetish’s are not just for Girls, or Sex and the City Fanatics!
Check out Josh and Fergie’s Cool new years style. They are under Fusion’s Spotlight this week for Men’s Fashion. Josh Duhamel is one of my faves on the *Stylish hotties list* and I, personally, love the color choices he makes. (Pictured at right) Josh wears a grey button down, and accents it with a white tie! Fantastic color choices. Kudos to the couple for looking great and fashionable together without doing that lame Britney and Justin “matching” thing.
Does everyone remember this CRAZY monstrosity? Yeah… PLEASE DONT TRY THAT AT HOME!! OK moving on.
Layering pieces adds texture and dimension to any outfit. A very easy way to layer is by piling on 3 items. Examples being: Dress Shirt,Vest, Blazer. Or Dress Shirt, Button Up Sweater, Jacket. My personal favorite on a guy is V-neck Tee, Flannel Button up, Zip up Hoodie/Jacket. Be aware of how many pieces you are layering, the key is to remember that you are not trying to add bulk! I usually tweak them with my own opinions as well, but for a basis of info they have it! )
Michelle’s pick of the week! Try on these amazing asymmetrical sweaters the next time you go to the store. They are super stylish and fashionable, and Flattering on a lot of different body types. Look for them at Macy’s and JCPenney. They are probably available at tons of stores, if you guys want all the lists. I can compile it for you.
The asymmetrical look is really popular again this season, and I can think of a million ways to wear it. These looks would look great on with a button down under it (pictured above)
. Or you could try it with a rugged jacket over it, or just by itself with a hot belt and some great fitting jeans (pictured at left) Either way you pair this piece is bound to get some heads turning.
Tune in next week for the Men’s Fashionable haircuts. Which look is the best for your face?
