Fusion 411: Nicki Minaj, Carly Rae Jepsen, Beth Ditto, The Wanted

The Trinidad-born entertainer, Nicki Minaj, recently traveled back to her native country, where she shot footage for her upcoming video, “Pound the Alarm” (and recent add the the Fusion playlist). In a behind-the-scenes video clip, Miss Minaj got emotional by saying, “We’re … in my homeland, where I was born, we’re here baby!”

The song we all love to hate, Call Me Maybe, by Carly Rae Jepsen still tops the Billboard Hot 100 for a fifth week in a row.

In a recent interview with lead singer, Beth Ditto of the band Gossip, was asked, ‘What is the one thing she dislikes most about her appearance.” Isn’t that pretty rude, right? Well, that didn’t matter to Beth, who happily responded, “My posture.” Keep on living the dream of great body image, Beth! We are all secretly jealous.

At the Glasgow Airport after a performance, The Wanted was spotted by a group of teenagers. One of the girls got so excited at seeing the band that she fainted. However when she fell, she hit her head on a brick wall and started having a seizure. Nathan Sykes stopped the bus and got out to make sure she was fine, despite the fact that they were late for their flight. He then put her into the recovery position while band mate Tom called an ambulance. Tom Parker helped a girl after she fainted and had a seizure. Go boys!
