I know that my normal post is a little later than usual. None to worry. I was working on getting some images together from one of the best concerts in electronic music. Dayglow!
It is the world’s largest paint party featuring some fantastic DJs in the industry. Our set included David Solano, Apolio V and Bingo Players. The best part? They throw paint all over the attendees. Out of cannons, and handing out bottles of paint in the audience to people to throw. It was definitely an experience- with LED costumes, trapeze artists, laser lights and fog machines; it was the ultimate concert. My friends and I kept buying bottles of paint and just went to town on each other…
What we looked like when left, we almost look human
During the middle of the show, one of my friends and I made it to the front row, at which point it was as if everyone became a giant blob moving to the music all at once (we didn’t last long up front before being swept to the back again). All of the attendees were there to have the best time (did I mention the drugs? yeah but its a concert, nothing new here folks). It was unlike anything we had done before and for sure the next time it comes to Chicago, we will be first in line for tickets.

Well do I have a treat for you Fusion fans! A snippet of Christina Aguilera’s new single “Your Body” has been leaked and I have here here for you to listen and report back if you like it or not.
We’ve been waiting to hear Christina Aguilera‘s new single longer than we can remember (hopefully, you sill remembered that it was coming our way), and today the demo recording of Xtina’s collaboration with pop hit maker Max Martin (!) has finally surfaced. Head here to stream the song (before it inevitably gets taken down).

This isn’t dance music related… well sort of it is. This could affect our dear friend, and Bieb’s girlfriend, Selena Gomez, and we want to make sure she is in the best shape to give us more hits.
Justin Bieber’s good boy image is now completely gone as it has been revealed there is a huge chance that not only will he be arrested for the alleged assault, but also that he will be convicted too.
Over the weekend, the 18 year-old was involved in a scuffle during a trip to the movies with Gomez, which resulted in the photographer ending up going to hospital and the ‘Boyfriend’ star wanted for questioning by the police. He left the scene before the authorities arrived and spoke to the photographer.
To show her support, Selena stepped out the day after the incident with her ‘J’ themed jewellery. She joined other celebrities at Hollywood producer Joel Silver’s annual Memorial Day barbecue.

While Demi Lovato is getting ready for the premiere of her X Factor judge debut, it seems ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas has already beaten her to the panel! The CW’s new series, The Next — featuring judges Joe, premiered last night. Although the shows won’t be directly competing with audience and time slot, could there still some feuding feelings between the two ex lovers??
Did you know the 29-year-old Trinidad and Tobago-born, Queens-bred Onika Tanya Maraj, also known as Nicki Minaj’s alter ego Roman Zolanski, is gay? Who knew? Minaj describes the ego as “lunatic” and sometimes a “demonic” and is one of the main characters from her two albums Pink Friday and Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.
The former Pussycat Dolls singer, Tulisa will be returning to the judging panel of The X Factor with a blonde ‘do, and has admitted she really wants to mentor the Girls. But the real juicy stuff is the feud that is happening between her and her co-judge Louis Walsh. “Louis’s pregnant. He’s having a baby and he’s calling it Ibiza,” she said. Could it be payback for him calling her” a chav in a track suit?”

Wait… You can’t be surprised. Singer Cheryl Cole (Call My Name, Want You Back) has allegedly found herself a new man- her back up dancer Tre Holloway, who has been accompanying her on a number of dates. He has also been seen with her and her pals from Girls Aloud.
The 29-year-old hasn’t had much luck in the love department (who hasn’t?), but it looks as though things are brightening up for Cheryl. The alleged “relationship” surfaced just as MC Harvey entered the Celebrity Big Brother house last night.
Of course, Cheryl immediately denied the claim, and reportedly stated that she has began legal proceedings against him. Wonder is this will go the way of J.Lo and Casper Smart…

We all know that Madonna has been a style icon for almost 30 years (well duh, remember that cone bra?) and she even has the successful clothing line Truth or Dare, which has been flying off the shelves.
And now, the international pop icon opens up in British Marie Claire‘s September issue about fashion influences, her beauty secrets, and what it’s like to work with her daughter Lola. I can’t wait to see if Lola’s demands are almost as outlandish as her mother’s.
So for something a little different- a short recap of Chicago’s Market Days this past weekend.
The weather was perfect with near 80 degrees and sun…enough about that, that’s not what you want to hear. There were abs for days with all the men walking around shirtless. They must have spent all summer working on their tans and guns (big big muscles). Everything was so friendly who came up to the Fusion booth to talk to us. Straights, gays, lesbians, babies and everyone in between were there to enjoy each others’ company- and no drama (hahaha you and I booth know that’s not true when the alcohol is flowing).
All musical performances were just spectacular. Jessie and the Toy Boys, Wynter Gordon, Karmin, Oliva Newton John, to name a few set a new standard of live music. The crowds got into it that fed this enormous amount of positive energy that I haven’t seen since Pride Fest earlier this summer.
…oh and all the dogs were super cute! Now that was something I couldn’t get enough of. So, if you weren’t able to come this year, well there’s always next year.
Congratulations to all of our US of A winners over the past week as they are doing their country proud (and we aren’t talking about their hot bods). A VERY special shout out to Michael Phelps. He is now up to 21 medals, three more than anyone else has ever won, with a shining chance to take home another one.
Pop music’s Queen Bee, Madonna, and Queens of indie-pop-electric, the Scissor Sisters, have been magnificently mushed together, forming the ultimate musical construction to end ALL remixes and mashups ever created! Madonna Has A Kiki (click here for the link to the song) is one part Scissor Sisters’ smash Let’s Have a Kiki, with one part Madonna’s Vogue.
Singer/songwriter, Ellie Goulding is preparing the release of her next album, called Halycon, in October. She is slowly giving us a taste of the upcoming album. A newly revealed trailer (below, duh) for the album showcases the many styles and influences we can expect to find on this album.

Recent divorcee Katy Perry and John Mayer were spotted leaving Hollywood celebrity couple hotspot, Chateau Marmont, together Wednesday night.
Though, neither Perry nor Mayer has confirmed a relationship, the pair looked cozy as they made their way through what seemed to be a date night (because a guy and gal in Hollywood can’t just be friends). After dining at Pace in Los Angeles, Katy and John (should we call then Kahn or Joty now?) headed to Hollywood’s celebrity couple hotspot, Chateau Marmont.
Should we care? Well yes, this is isn’t the first time that they have been spotted together. They were seen grabbing A slice of pizza last month together. Let’s just hope that she nothing turns sour and won’t dedicate a song like “Part of Me, Part II” to John.
