The 83rd Academy Awards, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), honored the best films of 2010. The ceremony took place on February 27, 2011, at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California. During the ceremony, Academy Awards (commonly referred to as Oscars) were awarded in 24 competitive categories. The ceremony was televised in the United States on ABC. Actors James Franco and Anne Hathaway co-hosted the ceremony, marking the first time for each (source: wikipedia…) 

This year Oscar didn’t seem to be as elegant and glamorous as he usually is… I saw more younger/modern looks on the red carpet. The hip & younger “red” carpet was reported to be more of a magenta color this year, and one thing for sure the fashion police were everywhere. Some fun Oscar facts? Justin Timberlake took over an hour just to walk the carpet into the Kodak theater. He is one popular dude!

Miss Hailee Steinfeld, this 14 year old actress was a hit all over the red carpet. From her composed polite demeanor, to her beautiful Marchesa dress. The True Grit star accessorized with Fred Leighton jewels, and a Ferragamo clutch and shoes. I loved her from her smile all the way to her pumps… GOOD JOB HAILEE.

Scarlett Johansson, accompanied by short disheveled bob, dressed in a lace Dolce & Gabbana dress, the 26-year-old actress walked the Oscars red carpet on the arm of a handsome, tuxedo-wearing man: her Hollywood agent, Joe Machota. You always look amazing Scarlett… you go girl!

Michelle Williams, I always love Michelle’s style. From her adorable pixie cut to her form flattering, white beaded Chanel Haute Couture dress. She’s always a winner in my book, and if you follow Michelle at every awards show, you’ll see shes a 10 every time.

Jennifer Lawrence, Anne Hathaway, and Jennifer Hudson were also some among the Hollywood’s Hot list. Jennifer Lawrence looked fantastic in this bold red Calvin Klein gown. She pairs her simple look with a voluminous down ‘do that cements her place as a Hollywood bombshell. Anne Hathaway started the night off right on the red carpet in her breathtaking Valentino gown. This was one of 7 dress changes of the night. And last but certainly not least… Looking better than ever,  presenter Jennifer Hudson, rocked her new body and the red carpet in this absolutely stunning orange Versace gown and bright purple platform pumps. Congratulations on your weight loss achievements Jennifer, but you always looked fantastic no matter what shape/size you were.

And our BEST DRESSED AWARD goes to… ‘Black Swan’ star and presenter Mila Kunis after seeing her in this gorgeous, flowing chiffon and lace Elie Saab Haute Couture dress. She definitely stole my little Fashion heart away.

Some of the “Not so Hot” of the night? Sharon stone… What were you wearing, and where did your body go?

 Actress Helena Bonham Carter… I really just don’t know what you were thinking when you were getting ready. Maybe there is some confusion between the word OSCARS, and CIRCUS for her?
