(Dave Tripper) It’s the name she’s been running away from her entire career, but now she’s kinda embracing it, in a way. Madonna is living in a material world and is seeking the next “material girl” via a major retailer.

The interesting thing about Madge’s “Material Girl” promo via Macy’s is how it’s being promoted. There is a video where she and her daughter Lourdes are discussing it in quite the comedic way with Madonna speaking in very “mom” tones, and Lourdes responding in very “smart-ass like my mom” tones. The diva of dance explains exactly what the “Material Girl” should be like. “We’re looking for a woman/girl/female/child who embodies a certain spirit, energy, and attitude.” There will be 5 open castings starting in New York City on November 2nd and others in San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, and Los Angeles. It’s all a part of promoting Madonna’s new “Material Girl” clothing line at Macy’s.
