A lot can be said about the talent of Morgan Page. As a DJ he has earned an insatiable reputation for transferring energy from pop songs to the dance floor through club banging, progressive house music!

Page has over 110 remixes to his name, including tracks by La Roux’s “Bulletproof”, Katy Perry’s  “I Kissed A Girl” and Kaskade’s “Be Still”. He is a heavy hitter on Billboards club charts, and with a 2009 Grammy nomination for Deadmau5’s remix of Page’s “The Longest Road” this solidified his underground following while showcasing his skills as a writer. A random fact about this song, it was sampled by Birdman and Jay Sean in the song “Written on Her,” in 2010.

Releasing his first album in 2008, Elevate, with remixes of music by Nelly Furtado and Dengue Fever, the album featured his skills in vocal re-rubs. In 2010 he released Believe which took a year and a half to make. If you go to Morgans Myspace page he is quoted by saying, “I went to great lengths to make songs I felt will last a long time, and to create an album you want to listen to all the way through.”

Page first got his start as a DJ and mix show radio host in college in Vermont. And at eighteen years old he was nominated for a Boston Music Award and in 2003 he moved to Los Angeles to kick off his career. When 2005 hit he released a now infamous underground collection of bootleg remixes called Cease and Desist.

“Without the help of master tapes or label permission he extracted vocals and signature melodies…then rounded out the sound with instrumentation and blazing beats. His undulating progressive feel and strict attention to detail-never the same kick drum twice, ever-was a perfect compilation to the larger than life vocal hooks.”

Page said it was great practice for editing when it came to having limited resources. After this everyone from DJ’s to producers, agents and the like had their hands on the album but of course it was the fans who turned Morgan Page into a star!

His songs have been featured on Television shows like Samantha Who and Melrose Place and have been used in campaigns for Chanel, and Bebe.

What’s in the future for Page? He says he wants to work with singers and songwriters who have depth to their lyrics and would like to take from other genres of music to influence his own work. His latest release is a collaboration of dance music all-stars! The newest track is called “In The Air” and it features Angela McCluskey, BT, and Sultan & Ned Shepard! His new album is set to release early this year!
