Fashion’s Night Out is almost here, and joining in the ranks this year is CHICAGO! Fashion’s night out started in NYC during fashion week, and has exploded all over the US. This year marks the 3rd year in-a-row that the fashion experts have been at it, but is new to some cities including Chicago. Oakbrook Center has a celebration from 5-9pm near Crate&Barrel… Along with music. modeling, and shopping you can enjoy some drinks and snacks. They are also giving away a special clutch purse to the first 300 shoppers, and a lot of the participating retailers are doing gifts with purchase! It’s a shoppers DREAM!

Q: What is Fashion’s Night Out?
A: Fashion’s Night Out is an unprecedented global initiative created in 2009 in a partnership between American Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company, and the City of New York to celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence, boost the industry’s economy, and put the fun back in shopping.
Q: What are the hours of FNO?
A: The official hours are 6 — 11 P.M. on September 8, 2011. Some FNO participants will be hosting events earlier in the day, so be sure to check with your favorite brands to find out what their big plans are.
Q: Is Fashion’s Night Out only happening in NYC?
A: No! Fashion’s Night Out is a global event. Cities all over the U.S. are invited to participate in Fashion’s Night Out.

- 8oz filtered water
- Small Spray Bottle
- one table spoon finely ground sea salt (you can find this at your local market)
- essential oils (we love coconut oil for the beachy scent and conditioning benefits)
- Combine all ingredients in a small 10oz spray bottle. Shake until all the ingredients are mixed. If oils tend to separate just shake before each use. Voila! Your own ocean in a bottle.
